Gold medal measures 1½" in diameter, featuring a handsome, detailed design with NOVA program logo and lettering in two-dimensional relief. Lettering around outside border reads "Dr. Albert Einstein SUPERNOVA Award—Boy Scouts of America". Medal is suspended from a 1½" x 34" grosgrain neck ribbon in blue, orange and white.
